Today we're excited to introduce Avatars, a brand-new feature now available inside SignCaption.
Since launching SignCaption, our mission has been to help make post-production content more accessible (think training videos, announcements, etc.). With Avatars now available, we're expanding that vision beyond captions and introducing a new way to transform content into signed ASL experiences.
Our Avatars help convert video, audio, subtitles, and text into signed ASL content through automatic signing avatars and interpreter-based workflows. The best part is that every translation is QA-reviewed by a native signer, helping ensure the quality and accuracy of the final interpretation.
Here is a Male & Female Avatar example covering the above paragraph.
One platform. Any content in. Accessible for everyone.
The above is an example clip of our Avatars in action. Using SignCaption, users can transform videos, audio recordings, subtitles, and written content into signed ASL experiences through a streamlined workflow designed around accessibility.
To get started, simply log in to your SignCaption account and navigate to your dashboard. You'll now see a new Avatar section available alongside your existing accessibility workflows.
With Avatars, you can upload:
From there, SignCaption will help transform your content into signed ASL experiences through our Avatar workflow. Every order includes review by a native signer before delivery to help ensure clarity, quality, and accuracy.
Whether you're creating training materials, educational resources, company communications, podcasts, social media content, or other forms of media, Avatars provide a new way to make your content more accessible.
We've published a full introduction and walkthrough guide covering:

For years, accessibility has too often meant captions bolted on after content is finished, and usually only in English. As a Deaf-owned company, we know that ASL is our first language, not an afterthought.
With Avatars, we're taking another step toward a future where content can be experienced in sign language, accurately, affordably, and at scale. Whether you're sharing safety training, educational material, company announcements, podcasts, social media videos, or written documents, Avatars make that content available through signed ASL experiences.
Similar to how captions started, every Avatar order includes review by a native signer before delivery. AI accelerates the translation process, but human expertise remains essential to clarity, accuracy, and trust. We believe accessibility deserves more than automation alone.
This launch reflects a broader vision for SignCaption. Our goal isn't simply to build captioning software, it's to build a full suite of tools that transform content into accessible experiences through captions, sign language, AI-powered workflows, and human-reviewed accessibility services.
Accessibility isn't an afterthought. It should be built into how content is created, shared, and experienced from the start.
We're excited to finally put this new Avatar technology into the hands of the community and can't wait to see what you think.
As with any new feature, this is only the beginning. We'll continue improving the experience, expanding capabilities, and working closely with our users to ensure Avatars deliver meaningful value for both Deaf and hearing audiences alike.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us shape the future of accessible media.
