Export Captions as SRT Files with SignCaption
Today we're excited to introduce one of our most requested features: SRT Export, now available inside SignCaption.
If you've ever needed to take your captions beyond SignCaption and into another platform, this update is for you.
With SRT Export, you can now download your captions as a standard .srt subtitle file and use them across a wide range of video editing, publishing, and accessibility workflows.
Why SRT Matters
While burned-in captions are great for sharing videos directly, many creators, organizations, and accessibility teams need subtitle files they can use elsewhere.
SRT is one of the most widely supported caption formats and is compatible with platforms such as:
- YouTube
- CapCut
- Vimeo
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
Instead of manually recreating captions in another tool, you can now generate captions in SignCaption and export them as an SRT file in just a few clicks.
How It Works
- Upload your content to SignCaption
- Generate or edit your captions
- Click Download
- Select SRT File
- Your subtitle file is ready to use anywhere SRT is supported
No additional software required.
What's Next
SRT Export is another step toward our goal of making SignCaption the easiest way to create accessible content.
We're continuing to invest in features that help organizations, creators, educators, and accessibility teams move from content creation to content distribution with less friction.
As always, we'd love your feedback.
Try SRT Export today and let us know how it fits into your workflow. Your feedback continues to shape what we build next.
